FAQs
How do the logs arrive?
We typically deliver our logs in a pickup truck or trailer. We will back up as close as possible to where you’d like them and tip them out. Bulk bags will be slid off and left in situ. Barrow bags can be wheeled with a sack truck to your log store if requested. If you have specific delivery requirements or a narrow driveway, just let us know when you book!

What is the difference between seasoned and kiln-dried?
It comes down to moisture. Our seasoned logs are dried naturally in our barns until they are ready to burn. Our kiln-dried logs go through our onsite kiln to get the moisture level even lower. Kiln-dried wood lights instantly and gives off maximum heat with very little smoke.

Is your wood 'ready to burn'?
Yes. We pride ourselves on the quality of our wood. We won't sell you 'green' or unseasoned wood that sizzles in the fire. We want you to have a great burn from the first log to the last. The logs we supply are below the industry standard 20% moisture content and ready to burn immediately.

Where do you get your wood from?
Sustainability is a big deal for us. All our hardwood is sourced from managed woodlands and farms right here in the South West. By keeping it local, we keep the 'wood miles' low.
What size logs do you supply?
Our logs are cut to approx. 9 inches ( 22 - 24 cm ) as standard. If you require a different size please get in touch and we will try to help.
How do I pay?
We aim to keep things simple. You can pay via cash on delivery or bank transfer. Let us know which suits you best when you place your order.

How quickly can you deliver?
We always aim for a quick turnaround, usually within 7 days. During the peak of winter, we can get very busy, so it’s always best to text or call us a little before your log store runs dry!
